Ampi-Coli oral doser


Composition:
Each dose of 1.1 gram suspension contains:
136,000 IU colistin (as sulphate)
10 mg ampicillin base (as trihydrate)
Action:
Ampicillin is a semi-synthetic penicillin with a large spectrum antibacterial action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative germs.
The spectrum includes Streptococcus, Penicillinase negative Staphylococcus, Clostridium, Haemophilus, Shigella, Salmonella, Listeria
monocytogenes, Corynebacterium, Actinomyces. Relatively sensitive are: E. coli, Proteus mirabilis and P. vulgaris.
Colistin is especially active against coliform germs.
The combination Ampi coli gives a synergistic large spectrum activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Both
antibiotics are stable in acidic environments and show no secondary toxic effects.
Indications:
Enteritis (E. coli, Salmonella, Clostridium) in piglets, lambs and other animals.
Administration/dosage:
Orally:
Piglets: One dose of 1.1 g (push the pump once) daily, during 3 days.
Other animals: one dose per 10 kg b.w.
Shake well before use.
Advised withdrawal times:
Meat: 3 days.
Contra-Indications:
Hypersensitivity to penicillins.
Conservation:
Dry, cool (8-15°c), protected from light.
Presentation:
Dosing bottle with 100 doses of 1.1 g, with or without dosing pump.
Refilling bottle of 430 ml.
