Composition:
Each injector of 5 g contains:
300,000 IU Procaine benzylpenicillin
100 mg dihydrostreptomycin base (as sulphate)
100 mg neomycin sulphate
Action:
combination of antibiotics covering most bacteria usually found in case of mastitis in cattle: benzylpenicillin is active mainly against
Gram-positive germs, neomycin is an antibiotic with broad spectrum, and dihydrostreptomycin is active mainly against pasteurella,
brucella, haemophilus, salmonella, shigella and mycobacterium.
Indications:
mastitis of lactating cows.
Administration/dosage:
Clean and disinfect the nipple, one injector per quarter. Frequent milking out, starting 12 hours after infusion increases the rate of
restoration of the udder and minimizes milk losses during the withdrawal period.
Advised withdrawal times:
meat: 10 days
milk: 4 days
