| Composition: Each ml solution contains: 100 mg oxytetracycline HCl in polyvinylpyrrolidon carrier Action: Broad spectrum antibiotic with bacteriostatic action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative germs such as E. coli, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Brucella, Streptococcus, Clostridium, Haemophilus, Corynebacterium, Anthrax, Staphylococcus. Rickettsia, Mycoplasma, Spirochaetes, and Actinomyces are affected. After parenteral administration oxytetracycline 10% is distributed very quickly in blood and tissues, and very high concentrations are found during approximately 24 hours. The polyvinylpyrrolidon carrier secures a painless way of administration. Indications: Infections caused by germs susceptible to oxytetracycline such as enteritis, salmonellosis, dysentery (Vibrio), (endo)metritis, pneumonia, footrot and infections of the urinary system. Administration/dosage: By intramuscular or intravenous injection for 3 days. Cow : 4 ml per 100 kg b.w. daily. Sheep, pigs, calves : 2- 4 ml per 50 kg b.w. daily. Cats, dogs : 1 ml per 10 kg b.w. daily. Advised withdrawal times: milk : 3 days. meat : 28 days. Conservation: Cool (8-15°C), protected from light. Presentation: Per 12 vials of 100 ml. Per 6 vials of 500 ml. |
