| Composition: Each ml solution contains: 100 mg oxytetracycline HCl in propylene-glycol carrier Action: Broad spectrum antibiotic with bacteriostatic action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative germs such as E. coli, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Brucella, Streptococcus, Clostridium, Haemophilus, Corynebacterium, Anthrax, Staphylococcus. Rickettsia, Mycoplasma, Spirochaetes, and Actinomyces are affected. After parenteral administration oxytetracycline 10% is distributed very quickly in the blood and tissues, and very high concentrations are found during approximately 24 hours. Indications: Infections caused by germs susceptible to oxytetracycline such as enteritis, salmonellosis, dysentery (Vibrio), (endo)metritis, pneumonia, footrot and infections of the urinary system. Contra-Indications: Liver and renal insufficiencies. Do not administer high doses to horses. Administration/dosage: By intramuscular or slow intravenous injection, for 3 days: Cow : 4 ml per 100 kg b.w. daily. Sheep, pigs : 2-4 ml per 50 kg b.w. daily. Cats, dogs : 1 ml per 10 kg b.w. daily. Withdrawal period: Meat : 28 days. Milk : 3 days. Conservation: At room temperature (15-25°C), protected from light. Presentation: Per 12 vials of 100 ml. Per 12 vials of 50 ml Per 6 vials of 500 ml |
