Dexamethasone 2 mg/ml

Composition:
Each ml solution contains:
2 mg dexamethasone (as disodium phosphate)
Action:
Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and immuno-suppressive action.
Indications:
Myoglobinuria, allergic reactions, urticaria, toxinaemia, shock, stress and hepatitis. Local treatment of arthritis, bursitis, distortions, tendinitis, tendovaginitis and peri-arthritis.
Contra-Indications:
Diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, heart and kidney dysfunctions. Do not inject during the last (third) part of gestation.
Administration/dosage:
By intramuscular or intravenous (and intra-articular) injection:
Horses, cattle : 5 - 15 ml.
Calves, foals, sheep, goats, pig : 1 - 2.5 ml.
Cats, dogs : 0.1 - 1.0 ml.
Advised withdrawal times:
Meat : 3 days.
Milk : 24 hours.
Conservation:
Cool (8-15°C), protected from light.
Presentation:
Per 12 vials of 100 ml.
