| Composition: Each ml contains: 1 mg atropine sulphate. Action: Atropine is an alkaloid with an parasympathicolytic activity. Indications: Pre-anaesthetic medication; as a partial antidote in organophosphorous poisoning. Administration/dosage: Pre-anaesthetic medication: by subcutaneous injection. Horse, cattle, pig, dog and cat: 0.03- 0.1 mg atropine sulphate per kg body weight. As antidote: in all species 0.2-2 mg per kg body weight. In severely affected animals one third of this dose may be given very slowly intravenously in a dilute (2%) solution and the remainder by subcutaneous injection. Contra-indications/Warnings: Glaucoma; do not use with other parasympatholytic agents. Conservation: Cool (8-15°C) and protected from light. Presentation: Per 12 vials of 50 ml. |
