Composition:
Each ml solution contains:
150 mg levamisole base (as HCl).
Action:
Levamisole demonstrates a broad spectrum activity in the removal of gastrointestinal and respiratory Nematodes. Levamisole has a paralyzing effect, with a rapid expulsion of living worms including the migrating larvae of Ascaris suum and Strongyloides. Worms expelled later are decomposed and may not be apparent in feces.
Indications:
Infections caused by gastrointestinal and respiratory nematodes susceptible to levamisole.
Pigs: Ascaris suum and larva migrans, Strongyloides spp., Metastrongylus elongatus, Oesophagostonum dentatum, Trichuris suis and mature Stephanurus, Hyostrongylus rubidus.
Cattle: Dictyocaulus spp., Protostrongylus spp., Ascarides, Nematodirus spp., Strongyloides, Bunostonum spp., Oesophagostonum spp., Chabertina ovina, Strongyloides spp.
Administration/dosage:
By a single intramuscular injection:
Cattle, sheep, goats, pigs: 1 ml per 30 kg body weight.
Advised withdrawal times
Milk : 48 hrs.
Meat : 3 days.
