| Composition: Each ml solution contains: 20 mg lidocaine HCl 10 mcg adrenaline (as bitartrate) Action: Lidocaine is a hydro soluble anaesthetic with quick local action (in a couple of minutes). This local anaesthesia may last for half an hour up to a couple of hours, depending on dosage and concentration. Adrenaline is added because of its vasoconstrictive Action: it prolongs the anaesthesia and diminishes the risk of secondary effects. If not overdosed the toxicity of lidocaine is very low. Indications: Local anaesthesia of the skin, the mucous membranes, muscles, etc. Pre- or post-operative anaesthesia, tooth extractions, dehorning, wound suturing, prevention of excessive bleeding, etc. Administration: By subcutaneous, intramuscular, intra/peri-articular or epidural injection. Depending on injection site, surface area and method of Administration: 3-5 ml (low dose) up to 20 ml (high dose, e.g. in order to treat the animal in lying position).
