| Composition: Each ml of suspension contains: 3 mg neomycin sulphate 5 mg prednisolone acetate. Properties: Neomycin belongs to the aminoglycoside group of antibiotics. It has a bactericidal action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria involved in eye and ear infections. It has no activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Prednisolone is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid with antiphlogistic and anti-allergic properties. Indications: Eyes: inflammation of the anterior chamber, especially when bacterial infections are involved. Such conditions include: keratoconjunctivitis, allergic conjunctivitis, sclerokeratitis, episcleritis, non-specific superficial keratitis, deep keratitis, post-operative and post-traumatic uveitis and post-operative keratitis. Ears: otitis externa (purulent and non-purulent), secondary otitis externa following parasitic infestation. Dosage and administration: Eyes: 1 - 2 drops, three to six times per day. Ears: 2 - 6 drops, two to three times per day. Advised withdrawal times: Not applicable. Contra-indications: Not known. Side-effects: Not known. Warnings: Not known.
