Alfasan eye ointment

Composition:
Each gram of ointment contains:
20 mg chloramphenicol
15,000 IU vitamin A (as propionate).
Action:
Chloramphenicol is a Broad spectrum, bacteriostatic antibiotic, active against most germs producing ophthalmic infections. Owing to its
strong penetration and broad action Alfasan is not only indicated for surface treatments, but also for infections within in the eyeball.
Vitamin A contributes to maintaining the epithelium of the cornea.
Indications:
Keratitis, conjunctivitis, ulcus corneae, all ophthalmic infections.
Administration/dosage:
apply minimal four times daily . small amount of ointment should be placed in the lower conjunctival sac.
Treatment to be continued for minimal 5 days.
Contra-indication:
Pseudomonas infections
Conservation:
At room temperature (15-25°C), protected from light.
Presentation:
12 tubes containing 4 g each.
