Metoclopramide HCl 10 mg


  Composition:
Each tablet contains
10 mg metoclopramide hydrochloride (as monohydrate)
Properties:
Metoclopramide exerts a stimulating effect on gastro-intestinal motility and has an anti-emetic action.
Indications:
The drug is indicated in cases of frequent vomiting and in cases of tympany, chronic gastritis, duodeno-gastral reflux and diarrhoea
associated with atony of the gastro-intestinal tract.
Dosage and administration:
The are to be given orally. The usual dose in dogs is 0.25 mg/kg body weight four times daily.
Advised withdrawal times:
Not applicable.
Contra-Indications:
Intestinal obstruction and intestinal perforation.
Side-effects:
Extra-pyramidal signs, dizziness, diarrhoea.
Warnings:
Do not use in combination with atropine-like substances and phenothiazines.
Do not administer to dogs of less than 10 kg body weight.
Storage:
