Doxycycline 100 mg

Composition:
Each tablet contains:
100 mg doxycycline (as hyclate).
Properties:
Doxycycline is an antibiotic having a bacteriostatic effect on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Target species:
Dog and cat.
Indications:
The treatment of respiratory infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria such as Bordetella bronchiseptica and Pasteurella spp and
which are sensitive to doxycycline, as well as infections of the urinary tract caused by sensitive Gram-positive bacteria.
Dosage and administration:
For oral administration.
Generally 5 - 10 mg doxycycline/kg body weight for 10 - 14 days.

Contra-Indications:

Not known.
Warnings:
- do not treat animals weighing less than 2.5 kg
- do not combine with therapy utilizing bactericidal antibiotics such as penicillins and cephalosporins
