| Composition: Each tablet contains: 50 mg cefalexin (as monohydrate). Properties: Cefalexin is a broad-spectrum cephalosporin having a bactericidal action. Indications: The treatment of respiratory infections, especially bronchopneumonia, tonsillitis and infections of the upper respiratory tract caused by Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp, Bordetella spp, Pasteurella spp, E. coli and Klebsiella spp. , urinary tract infections caused by Proteus spp., E. coli and Staphylococcus spp. and skin infections caused by Staphylococcus spp. and Streptococcus spp. Dosage and administration: For oral administration. Dogs and cats: 10 - 15 mg cefalexin/kg body weight twice daily and for at least 5 days. Advised withdrawal times: Not applicable. Contra-Indications: Known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins. Side-effects: Gastro-intestinal disturbances. Warnings: - the dosage should be lowered and/or adjusted in cases of chronic kidney failure - do not administer to dogs or cats weighing less than 3 kg.
