Ascaten

Composition:
Each tablet contains:
450 mg niclosamide
50 mg oxybendazole.
Action:
Antiparasitic combination active against cestodes and nematodes.
Niclosamide is a specific anthelmintic against cestodes, such as Taenia ovis, T. hydatigena, T. pisiformis, Echinococcus granulosa,
Dipylidium caninum. Oxybendazole is a Broad spectrum anthelmintic active against many nematodes, especially in case of mixed
infections of nematodes. It is non-toxic. Sensitive are e.g. Toxocara canis, T. leoninais, Anclyostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala
and Trichuris vulpis. Ascaten may be used for pregnant animals and are recommended especially for cats and dogs.
Indications:
Mixed infections of nematodes and cestodes, especially in kittens, pups and older animals.
Administration/dosage:
Orally, 1 tablet per 5 kg b.w., preferably on empty stomach. If necessary repeat after one month.
Conservation:
At room temperature (15-25°C), dry, protected from light.
