| Composition: Each tablet contains: 400 mg ampicillin (as trihydrate) Action: Ampicillin is a synthetic benzylpenicillin active against Gram-positive and -negative bacteria. Ampicillin is recommended for oral administration because of its resistance to acidic conditions and its good resorption from the stomach and the intestines. Indications: Gastro-intestinal infections (prevention and treatment), e.g. E. coli, Clostridium perfringens, Salmonella; respiratory and urinary infections, uterus infections, secondary infections in case of viral infections, septicemia, polyarthritis and skin infections. Administration/dosage: Orally: Dogs and Cats: 10-33 mg ampicillin per kg b.w, twice daily, during minimal 5 days; respiratory infections: 10-14 days Calves, piglets, Lambs: 10-15 mg ampicillin per kg b.w., twice daily during 5 days. Contra-Indications: Hypersensitivity to benzylpenicillins. Advised withdrawal times: meat : 28 days. Warning: Do not combine with bacteriostatic medicines Do not use in cats weighing less than 5 kg Conservation: At room temperature (15-25°C), dry and protected from light.
